(C)attitude
If you like a cat with attitude, then you'll love Pallas Cats. This small cat species from northern Asia has become quite rare, and are hard to breed successfully in zoos as coming from remote areas they are not immune to several cat diseases, that can kill kittens, but most other cat species can overcome; fortunately knowledge and experience is improving this situation.
There is a fantastic enclosure at Port Lympne Reserve in Kent that mirrors their natural environment, although this does mean that they're not always that easy to see, having very keen senses if it gets too noisy around the enclosure they will often just hide away, this means that when you do see them....you take every opportunity to get as good a view as possible!
As you can see they blend into the rocks beautifully, about the size and shape of a robust, fluffy domestic cat, but with a swagger and manner that tells you they are wild and mean business.
The staring eyes and squarish looking head are features of this species, always nice to see them in good light posing nicely, sometimes patience is rewarded!
