Darters

Last summer (yes I'm still working on shots from back then!!) there was a great emergence of Darters in Alexandra Park, Hastings, as usual (and expected) most were Common Darters, but amongst them were a few Ruddy Darters, this is a species I haven't had the chance to photograph before....it seemed only right to correct that situation.

As you can see the Commons were posing very well....the Ruddys couldn't possibly compete with those....could they????

Now can't wait until the summer to have another g at these wonderful insects.
