Looking down on you!
The Arabian Rock Hyrax family at Drusillas Park maintain their wild instints and often post a sentry. In the wild this would often be on a tall rock or ledge, where they can keep a look out for the vast range of animals that want to eat them, namely foxes, small to medium sized cats, snakes and the larger raptors.
At Drusillas to encourage this natural behaviour a branch has been added, and this extends across the enclosure. It does mean that sometimes to get a good view of the hyrax all you need to do is look up!
