24th Jan at Drusillas

It was a grey, foggy and pretty dreary day, so I headed to the top half of the zoo which is undercover. Here we house several small primates (Tamarin and Marmoset), along with some reptiles and other small mammals.

The first animal to be seen was our Rhinocerous Iguana, whom like many of it's relatives has found that if it can find a nice place to lay under the heater it doesn't need to move too much more....

After that I passed the Python and Boa as they weren't posing, then I also missed the Hyrax as I've featured them a fair bit recently which then led me to the Cusimanse. Whilst they weren't up for portraits today I did get a nice shot of one trying to find a decent look out place.

Then it was the Silvery Marmoset, this enclosure really has awkward lighting for photography so is always a bit of trial and error; one day when I get a good shot I'll actually remember to take a note of my settings so I can repeat it without so much hassel.

After that I came to the last enclosure I was looking at for the day, which was the Common/Pygmy Marmoset mixed exhibit, the Pygmy Marmoset weren't posing but the Commons did for once!
